 |  | | Jess's influences range from India Arie, Jill Scott, KT Tunstall, Damien Rice and Waking the Witch. Jess has been compared to many female singers over the years but her voice and style is very much her own. Jess has been writing songs since the tender age of 12 and started learning guitar at 15. During her teens she sang at family parties and at school - it is no surprise to those who knew her then that this acoustic diva is still going strong in her twenties. The past few years have been full of great experiences; Jess has had the chance to share a stage with international stars such as Kathryn Williams, Tony Joe White (who penned songs for the likes of Elvis, Tina Turner, Ray Charles..) and KT Tunstall. She has also supported the band Waking the Witch and the singer/songwriter Amy Wadge as well as featuring alongside some highly acclaimed musicians at the York LAF in October 2006 |  |  | |
